Pedestrian Fatality Under Investigation After Grand Glaize Bridge Accident

OSAGE BEACH, MO (The Lake Tribune) – A serious traffic accident led to the death of a pedestrian on the Grand Glaize Bridge on Wednesday afternoon. The Osage Beach Police Department is spearheading the investigation into the incident which occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m.

The identity of the victim has yet to be disclosed as officials are in the process of notifying the next of kin. The eastbound lanes of Highway 54 were closed following the accident, causing significant traffic disruptions.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Osage Beach Ambulance District, Osage Beach Fire Protection District, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lake Ozark Fire Protection District, Mercy Ambulance, and the Camden County Sheriff’s Department. These units assisted with both the emergency response and the subsequent investigation.

Lieutenant Michael O’Day of the Osage Beach Police Department confirmed the initial report and the collaborative effort of the responding agencies. The fatality remains under close investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
