Major Drug Bust in Camden County, Authorities Seize $900K Worth of Illegal Substances

Camden County, MO (The Lake Tribune) – In a coordinated operation, law enforcement officials cracked down on a significant drug distribution hub in Camdenton on February 14, 2024. The task force, comprising deputies from the Horseshoe Bend Patrol District, officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, and troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, executed a search warrant at a local residence off Bittersweet Road.

The raid was a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the area, as investigators discovered and confiscated a substantial cache of narcotics. The haul included approximately 4 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, over a thousand edibles infused with about 9 pounds of psilocybin, approximately 1 pound of THC wax, and more than 5,000 THC products, equating to roughly 18 pounds of THC. Additionally, about 10 pounds of high-grade marijuana and controlled narcotic pills, including Oxycodone and Alprazolam, were seized.

The street value of the drugs was estimated at around $900,000, indicating the large scale of the operation. Along with the narcotics, authorities also seized $25,000 in cash, presumed to be profits from the illicit activities.
