CAMDEN COUNTY, MO (The Lake Tribune) — A serious one-vehicle accident occurred on Lower Prairie Hollow Rd. near Laura Hufferd Rd. on Saturday, leaving the driver, a Roach, Missouri man, seriously injured and subsequently arrested. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the incident involved a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 57-year-old Scott Wallace.

The crash reportedly happened as Wallace failed to navigate a curve while traveling northbound. The Chevrolet veered off the right side of the road and collided with a tree. The impact caused serious injuries to Wallace, necessitating immediate medical attention.

Wallace was initially transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by ambulance. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia for further treatment.

In addition to the crash, Wallace faces legal troubles. He was arrested and charged as a persistent offender of felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving a motor vehicle crash. This arrest highlights the ongoing issues of impaired driving and road safety.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of impaired driving and the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
