Tragic Car Crash Near Osage River Bridge Claims Life of Lake Area Teen, Injures Three Others

Miller County, MO (The Lake Tribune) – A devastating car accident on Friday night near the Osage River Bridge resulted in the death of a local teenager and left three others injured. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old male from Brumley was behind the wheel of a 2005 Acura traveling eastbound on River Road when the vehicle tragically veered off the road, collided with a tree, and overturned.

The crash led to the death of the 16-year-old driver, who was later pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital at 10:51 p.m. In addition to the fatal casualty, two other 16-year-old males from Lake Ozark sustained serious injuries and were urgently transported to Lake Regional Hospital by EMS. A 15-year-old female from Eldon also suffered minor injuries in the incident and was taken to the hospital by private means.

The identities of the teenagers involved in the crash have not been disclosed, adhering to the Highway Patrol’s policy on public crash reports involving minors.
