LAKE OZARK, MO. (The Lake Tribune) — An alarming incident occurred shortly after midnight on Easter morning along the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, resulting in one person being taken into custody. The event unfolded when a gun, concealed within an individual’s clothing, accidentally discharged as he attempted to retrieve it after it had fallen.

The situation was initially reported by a bar owner located in the 1200 block of Bagnell Dam Boulevard. According to the owner, the mishap happened when the individual reached down to pick up the concealed firearm, leading to an unintended discharge of the weapon. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Responding swiftly to the scene, law enforcement officers managed to apprehend the individual as he attempted to flee the area. Despite the quick response and arrest, official details regarding the incident have been limited.

22-year-old Victor Silba-Cruz was arrested and booked into the Miller County Jail around 12:50 AM Sunday on a pending charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. While it remains unclear if Silba-Cruz’s arrest is directly connected to the Lake Ozark strip incident, the timing and nature of the charge have drawn attention.

This incident highlights the potential dangers associated with carrying concealed weapons and the importance of firearm safety. As the investigation continues, more information may become available to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event and the charges filed.
