Camdenton, MO (The Lake Tribune) – A vehicle pursuit in Camden County late on Tuesday evening, December 26th, led to the arrest of two suspects. A deputy from the Horseshoe Bend Patrol District attempted to stop a vehicle lacking visible registration near State Road MM and Chimney Point. The vehicle fled and eventually halted in a driveway on Highly Drive, where both occupants fled on foot.

A combined search effort by additional deputies, Lake Ozark PD officers, and Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) troopers resulted in the location and arrest of the suspects. Malik DC Scott, 25, from Belton, Missouri, was found hiding in the crawl space of a nearby residence. Kabreya M Rogers, 26, from Raytown, Missouri, was later discovered by MSHP troopers concealed in a dumpster.

Upon further investigation, the vehicle was found to be stolen from Independence, Missouri. Deputies uncovered drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, cocaine, several garage door openers, and twenty-two sets of keys within the vehicle. Efforts are underway to identify the rightful owners of the keys.

Rogers faces two counts of Class D Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and has outstanding warrants from Missouri and Kansas. Scott is charged with Class D Felony 1st Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Class E Felony Resisting Arrest, along with several warrants from both states. Both suspects are held without bond.

These charges are merely allegations, and the suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
