CAMDENTON, MO (The Lake Tribune) – A routine traffic stop on Thanksgiving evening led Camden County deputies to a significant narcotics seizure. During the stop, the deputy discovered drugs and items indicative of narcotics distribution and use. This discovery prompted the acquisition of a search warrant for Ashford’s residence on Cherokee Road in Lake Ozark. The subsequent search resulted in the confiscation of approximately 90 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, various controlled substance pills, and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 revolver and over $3,000 in cash were seized.

Ashford faces charges including Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance, along with a misdemeanor for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is currently held on a $75,000 surety bond at the Camden County Adult Detention Facility.

Officials remind the public that the charges are accusations, and as with all legal proceedings, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
