Speeding Driver Arrested After Multi-Car Crash in Camdenton

CAMDENTON, MO – A high-speed chase led to a multi-car collision and the arrest of a driver in Camdenton, as reported by the local police department. On the morning of November 29, an officer spotted a black Toyota RAV4 speeding southbound on North Business Route 5 at a rate of 51 mph in a 30 mph zone.

The officer pursued the vehicle for a speeding violation. The chase continued onto East Highway 54, where the Toyota ran a red light and sped away, eventually losing control. The car skidded and struck two other vehicles before crashing into a median barrier at the overpass of Business 5 and Highway 5.

After the crash, the driver fled on foot but was soon captured near the American Center shopping complex. Two people from the struck vehicles were injured and transported to the hospital.

The driver, now held at the Camden County Jail, faces pending charges. Further information regarding the charges will be released when available.
