ST. LOUIS, MO (The Lake Tribune Reports) — In a perplexing and troubling turn of events, a 39-year-old woman, Dr. Sarah Kathleen Sweeney, was found dead in a Frontenac home on Saturday, sparking further investigations into a case with an eerie history. The residence is owned by a local firefighter, who was previously linked to another death investigation conducted by First Alert 4 Investigates in 2021.

The earlier case involved Grace Holland, who died from a gunshot wound to the head, a death initially ruled as a suicide by Creve Coeur police. However, the handling of the investigation raised doubts, especially given that Holland’s fiancé is a captain in a neighboring fire department. The firefighter in question is now connected to both Holland’s and Sweeney’s deaths, occurring in the same home.

Police have classified Sweeney’s death as a sudden one, noting no obvious signs of injury or struggle at the scene. The medical examiner’s office is awaiting toxicology results and utilizing other investigative tools to determine the cause of death.

This latest incident has reignited concerns from Grace Holland’s family, who have long questioned the circumstances surrounding her death. Their attorney, Javad Khazaeli, expressed hope that the Frontenac Police will conduct a thorough investigation, unlike what they perceive happened in Creve Coeur.

Family members of Sweeney have expressed shock and confusion, stating they were unaware of any life-threatening medical condition that could have led to her sudden death. Interestingly, they also mentioned that they had lost contact with Sweeney for two years and had previously advised her to distance herself from the firefighter.

Attempts to contact the firefighter and his legal representation have yet to receive a response. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is still reviewing Grace Holland’s case.

This series of events has cast a shadow of suspicion and for some a need for answers over these two tragic deaths, both linked to the same individual and seemingly occurring under similarly mysterious circumstances.
