CAMDENTON, MO (The Lake Tribune) – A domestic dispute escalated into violence on Thanksgiving night, resulting in a shooting that left one person injured and the apparent shooter dead. Camdenton police responded to an incident in the 100 block of North High Street, where they found a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound in the back. The victim was flown to the hospital and is now in stable condition.

The investigation revealed that the altercation occurred in the kitchen between the victim and his girlfriend’s 66-year-old father. Following an argument, the victim attempted to flee the residence but was shot in the backyard area.

The alleged shooter, identified as the father of the victim’s girlfriend, was found deceased inside the residence from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
