Arrest
In Camden County, two women were arrested on Tuesday in a case involving vehicle theft and drug possession. The Camden County Sheriff’s Office initiated the investigation after receiving a notification from the FLOCK camera system about a stolen vehicle spotted in Camdenton.
Upon locating the vehicle, law enforcement confirmed the license plate was reported stolen, and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) matched that of a vehicle reported stolen a few days earlier. Glenda Kay Whaley of Bonne Terre was arrested and charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.
Further investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver, Tina Rose Herron of Bismark. During the booking process at the Camden County Jail, a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue was allegedly discovered in Herron’s purse. Consequently, Herron faces charges of possession of a controlled substance.
The incident underscores the effectiveness of integrated law enforcement systems like the FLOCK camera in identifying and tracking stolen vehicles, leading to prompt arrests and charges.
